The most critical difference is the diameter of the area where the stock slides onto the tube. The mil spec buffer tube is about two hundredths of an inch smaller than commercial. Allows for mounting of the Power Draw cranking device.

For strength, dependability, and repeatable shot placement.
Very fast very powerful lightweight love the distance from axle to axle very narrow easy to maneuver in the woods in tree stand overall a wonderful crossbow this is my fifth crossbow and I rate it right up with Xcalibur
I must admit I use a TrueGlow Crossbow scope taken from my first crossbow.Being in a hurry I didn't mount the scope properly.I shot two bolts both bearly missing the tarket but with and went though my one alimnum trailer ramp. I can't believe the power. After properly remounting my scope I set up at 30 yards. After three minor add justments I was placing the bolts side by side skinning the fletching off 3 bolds I have a target that will stop up to 600 FPS and the bolts bury half way in.Can't wait to see the effect on a deer.
This is my first crossbow at 35 years old. So far a great crossbow, but a few complaints are when I got it the string lock was pushed backwards and would not lock the string. I had to do some work on it to make it lock the sting after draw. One other complaint is the scope is not a great fit for me and I feel it actually is too much zoom and hard to find the prey in it quickly at close distance. These are personal preferences, but all said this is a great starter. Just sad it looks to be discontinued so can’t buy new string for it.
The sniper Series offers a great value for the new and experienced shooter. I use it with an Accurcrank to make cocking very simple since I am over 70. I have teamed the crossbow up with Bloodsport Hunter 300 gr 20" bolts that I had previously. It shoots consistently on the mark. I paired my Rage 100gr NC Tripan broadheads to this and got field tip accuracy.
Love my new crossbow.
